On November 20, 2022 director Vidhu Vinod Chopra unveiled the film, which is based on the book Twelfth Fail written by Anurag Pathak. The film was inspired by the true story of the IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma as well as IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.
Casting
